Eight years ago, after being encouraged by a friend and fellow comic Kevin Hart, Vince Barnett began his stand-up comedy career. He made his stage debut at a comedy club near Atlantic City, NJ called Sweet Cheeks. Unfortunately the crowd was not that sweet or receptive to him and his jokes. After two minutes of his routine, Vince was booed off the stage. The experience caused Vince to vow never to step foot on a stage again and hang up his mic forever. Fast forward six years later, and you find Vince has had a few major life changes and relocated to the DC, Maryland and Virginia area. While sitting home one night with nothing to do, he decided to check out a few local comedy open mic sessions. He enjoyed the shows and the routines of the local comics so much that he was inspired to break out his own pen and paper to begin writing jokes again. Vince took to the stage again at a comedy open mic in Washington, DC. In the back of his mind, he remembered his first stage experience at Sweet Cheeks. But, instead of cowering from the mic, he took a deep breath and hit the stage. Not only did he finish his five minute set, but he left the stage with the crowd clapping and most importantly laughing. At that moment, his passion for performing stand-up was renewed. Vince has a quick wit and quirky perspective on everyday events from shopping at the grocery store to online dating. He will have you laughing during his routine and days later. You don't want to miss an opportunity to check him out.
