As a stand up Marz has opened for Eddie Griffin, Lynne Koplitz, and others. Performed at top venues like The Improv, Zanies, Comic Strip Live, Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, NYC comedy Club, Ha Comedy Club, etc.
Marz's style of comedy has been described as a Dadaist in sensibility and "nerdy, yet urban,". He was voted one of the 12 freshest comics in Chicago by Chicago Magazine.
Past Festivals he has performed in with his critically acclaimed sketch/improv group Pimprov include: Around the Coyote Arts Festival, Del Close Marathon at the UCB Theater in NYC, 6th annual Chicago Improv Festival, Chicago Sketchfest, Austin TX Big Stinkin Improv Festival, Miami Improv Festival, and Kansas City Improv Festival. Marz is the creator of Pimprov a improv/sketch group that tours all over the U.S. and Canada.
As a comedic writer he has written for stand ups, The Second City, plays, sketch shows, and has written a television pilot.
