Johnny Trabs has been performing the art of Improv and Sketch Comedy for over 11 years. He is one half of the award winning sketch comedy duo “A Pair of Nuts” along with fellow comedian Yamil Piedra. With “A Pair of Nuts” Johnny has headlined comedy clubs and colleges nation wide. The “Nuts” have been featured on Last Call w/ Carson Daly, BET, NBC, Discovery Channel, Mega TV and all over the internet. In 2009 they were invited to perform at the Comedy Central stage in L.A. where they received a standing ovation. In 2010, the “Nuts" are at it again as they were invited to headline at the South Beach Comedy Festival’s Preview Night. Recently the Nuts video "Gayo" was featured on Comedy Central's "Tosh.0".
Johnny has been performing stand-up for the past few years with much success. His humor derives from all the new experiences of being a new husband and a young father, as well as all the non-sense that he encounters everyday. Highly energetic and intense, Johnny connects with both young college crowds and older hip audiences. He recently placed Top 3 in a stand up competition at the Miami Improv, taking the top prize at the Improv's annual Turkey Contest, and just recently won the 1st Annual Miami Improv Comedy Derby. Johnny has featured at the South Florida Improvs and headlined The National Lampoon Undergound Comedy Club, The Comedy Inn and several other rooms in Miami, FL and has worked with comics like Jo Koy, Doug Benson, Christian Finnegan and Dov Davidoff, etc.
Currently Johnny was named one of the "Best Local Miami Comics 2010" by CBS Miami. He also wrote and starred in the new international sketch comedy show by MegaFilms entitled “El Vacilon” for which he won an EMMY for comedic writing and starred in the new hit reality show on VH1 called "Money Hungry".
