Gary’s comedy career kicked off in 2003, and soon after, he entered The Stand Comedy Club/Daily Record New Talent Search and was one of seven finalists. The prize was the opportunity for all seven finalists to showcase their talents at the Edinburgh Festival. Gary quickly developed his comedy style and established himself as a solid competent act and within a year; he had written and performed his first solo performance at the Glasgow Comedy Festival. He has also featured in The Stand’s (Edinburgh) Best of Scotland shows in 2005 which have been sell out shows at The Fringe Festival every year.
With a wealth of material covering a myriad of topics, Gary is guaranteed to get the laughter going, no matter what the occasion or the venue, having played gigs as diverse as prisons and birthday celebrations. His imposing physical stage presence and ‘in your face’ comedy style belies the depth and range of his humour - from the madness of living with pensioners to coping with depression.
Since 2005, Gary has been recognised as an established headline act in clubs throughout Scotland, including The Stand, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
This year, he has progressed to regular gigs throughout the United Kingdom, including Jongleurs and other respected venues. He has also played this year’s Leicester Comedy Festival (Best of Scotland).
Gary’s successful three night run as headline act at a popular comedy venue in Barcelona in October 2005 ensured a return visit in May this year.
Gary is also an accomplished compere at clubs throughout Scotland.
‘Gary Little is a very big man who is not afraid to tackle difficult subjects. Rib tickling if not quite touching’.
‘ Punchy, perceptive and puerile’.
‘Is there nothing this man can’t make funny?’
