Panel Discussion: State of Online Comedy
In 2008, David Lidsky and FastCompany Magazine penned an article famously decrying the state of online comedy – and the struggling comedy destinations that had not successfully found an audience, or a business model. Today, things have changed. Comedy is a leading online genre of entertainment, and comedians, industry and consumers are all enjoying a rich tapestry of comedy (and opportunity) online. As an update to the article, this panel features a cross-section of industry leaders discussing what's working, where comedy is headed online, and what comedians and consumers should be anticipating regarding interactive comedy.
