Each year, Rooftop Comedy recognizes comedians and those working in the field of online comedy who are doing exciting, innovative and, yes, hilarious things.
The nominees were determined by our network of thousands of comics, our comedy-obsessed staff and our stellar partner clubs across the country. Winners were decided by the most appropriate audience per award including our website visitors, Twitter followers, partner clubs, and the live audience at the Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival.
Award winners were announced at the Rooftop Comedy Awards Ceremony, hosted by the hilarious Ryan Singer, at the Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival. Aside from basking in the glory of victory, all winners received some pretty sweet trophies.
Nominated by Rooftop Comedy staff and selected by the Academy, The Roofie Award goes to one comedian who stands out as an innovative performer and writer, with a unique voice and overwhelming commitment to the stand-up comedy stage. Magicians and puppet guys are not eligible.
