In the summer of love, 1987, while recovering from testicular bronzing, Matt Sexington met local porn legend Jimmy "The Bone" Longfellow, who was recuperating from a penis reduction. Jimmy, a self-obsessed fan of his own music, and Matt, a typical 21-year-old white American male, shared a mutual love for flannel shirts and fine Italian wine. The bi-curious friendship they forged from their hospital beds led to the formation of a supergroup known as "The Figs of Winter," which became a massive hit on the Omaha, Nebraska homeless shelter scene, but soon the toothless whores and moonshine just weren't enough.
At about that time, Jimmy noticed he had an undescended third ball and Matt accepted the fact that he didn't have what it takes to graduate from the DeVry Institute. Seeking answers, they decided to spend the next 14 years planting trees in the Pacific Northwest. Those trees produced the syrup which coated the vibrators that helped to pleasure many a reproductive organ. As fate would have it, this action would lead to the birth of a new musical revolution... the soon-to-be multi-platinum, Grammy Award winning band, Plecostomus.
So, what's on the horizon for these fine young gentlemen? After nearly three years of intense rehabilitation at the famed Betty Ford clinic the boys are back and feeling as randy as ever! Plecostomus recently released the follow up to their 30-track, 80-minute epic-of-a-debut album, Welcome to the Ple-ground. Their new masterwork, Society In General, was released on June 19th, and will be backed by a nation-wide tour when the boys get around to it.
