Molly Harper grew up in Houston, Texas and studied classical piano (a skill she does not use in her comedy) at a performing arts high school with Beyonce’. She then attended New York University and upon graduating took a job in advertising sales overseas in Europe and Africa – a (not so) vital statistic she really likes to mention because it makes her sound worldly. She quit, moved to Los Angeles, and has been performing stand-up ever since.
Molly has performed for several special celebrity events including a fundraiser for Eduardo Xol from ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. She just returned from performing at San Francisco’s Sketchfest and was recently accepted into the Detroit Comedy Festival. She’s performed at Pechanga Casino, and was selected to perform in the Los Angeles Comedy Festival & Westside Comedy Festivals last year. Molly is a regular on the longest running all-female stand-up show in the country, Pretty, Funny Women at the Hollywood Improv. She produced and hosted Night Cap with Molly Harper, her own monthly stand-up show with LA Comedy Festival at Theatre Asylum in Hollywood. In addition, Molly performs at numerous comedy clubs all over Southern California, including the Hollywood Improv, The Comedy Union, Laugh Factory, and world famous Comedy Store. She has brought her stand-up routine to Zanies in Chicago as well as to Comix, Gotham, The New York Comedy Club and Eastville Comedy Club in New York City.
