Laura Sanders's Stand-up Comedian Profile on Rooftop Comedy

Laura Sanders grew up in a family of loud laughers and fast talkers. Not willing to be outdone, she honed her quick wit and sharp eye for comedy. After making it to the finals in her first stand up competition, Laura realized she wanted to entertain people beyond her relatives. A known worrier, Laura’s presence on stage is still exceptionally natural and always endearing. Her spunky style and whimsical wordplay can also be seen as a regular part of her popular One Woman Show, which combines the best parts of her comic sentiment and natural story telling prowess.

Expanding beyond her Columbus, Ohio base, Laura has delighted audiences all over the country, and has been a featured performer on RooftopComedy.com. She was a finalist in Knoxville’s Rocky Top Comedy Contest, The Funniest Person in Cincinnati contest, and a three-time finalist in the Funniest Person in Columbus contest. In addition to stand up, Laura writes for the Monday Night Live, a monthly sketch comedy show, and produces and performs in the monthly stand up show 15 & Killin’ It.
