Combining a spontaneous delivery with a natural performance style, and an ability to handle whatever happens without missing a beat, John Poveromo has become one of the most entertaining young comedians working today.
After being professionally trained by Emmy-nominated writer/comedian Linda Smith, John found himself booked for his first paying gig after just four months of performing. Now, in a span of only two years he’s already played over thirty venues stretching from New York to Arizona. In his first year he quickly gained a reputation amongst his peers for his professionalism and dedication as a young comic, landing him guest spots and MC work in various clubs throughout the city.
Branching out into NJ he continued to impress those he worked with, opening for Jeff Norris, and becoming a requested emcee by notable comedians such as Brian McKim and Traci Skene. John was interviewed for The New Yorkers, has been featured on Comcast On-Demand, Sirius Satellite Radio, and more recently as co-host and writer of the Uncle Vinnie’s Comedy Hour.
Now a steady featured act, Johns conversational style and quick wit is easily adaptable to a late night or family friendly audience where his observations about daily life have every audience member nodding in agreement with each and every laugh.
