Janette Pérez makes lemonade out of Midwestern life. Between her rants on family, science and the mundane, she also finds twisted solutions to big problems, critical observations of hypocrisy, and strange silver linings to the world’s ills. With such an intelligent, unique perspective, you will never mistake her for any other comedian. Her energy, likeability, and story-telling skills hold audience members through the whole ride to laughter.
Janette is a regular at Crackers Comedy Club and tours with Comedy Caravan. She is the 2011 winner of the No Balls of Meat Comedy Contest in Louisville, KY. She performed six dates with the Hoosier Comedy Tour in 2009 including the historical Elwood Opera House, the Paramount Theater, and The Irving. In 2008, she placed runner up in Ball State’s A Night of Comedy Competition judge’s category and third in the IUPUI sponsored spoken word contest by combining stand-up and poetry. In addition she wrote and performed in Chasing the Dream: Screams from an Urban University, performed and choreographed Much Ado About Nothing (comedic role of Margaret) with Stagecrafters of IUPUI, and took home the third place prize two consecutive years at the Hoosier Story-telling Festival: Story Slam.
