Irving Louis's Stand-up Comedian Profile on Rooftop Comedy

Irving Louis was born Irving Louis Seligman, Jr. in Los Angeles, California, number four after three sisters. Influenced by the women in his life, Irving developed behavioral problems that never went undetected.

Punishment was a daily occurrence cultivating in the permanent expulsion from school in the sixth grade. A move to a different district gave Irving another shot at middle school. Through high school and college Irving developed his quick wit getting him many laughs and six black eyes. During college Irving settled down with his new wife to raise a family and make $118 million dollars.

After the birth of three sons, the $118 million did not arrive as planned, but the wife did leave. Irving’s final words to his wife were “Hey, you forgot the kids!”. His plea for mercy fell on deaf ears.

Irving found himself broke and unemployed with three sons, ages 4-11, who were determined to eat weekly. This is when he started his stand up career. Timing is everything. The constraints of parenthood and running a start-up business proved too much for stand up and Irving put his career on hold for seven years until Oct 2003 when he got his first professional booking as the opening act at Cap City Comedy Club in Austin Texas. Irving's act is about raising kids and an ex-wife that gets better looking every time he sees her. Irving was married and divorced three times to the same woman qualifying him as retarded.
