According to her website, "Elaine Thompson grew up on a farm in rural North Dakota. She escaped the frozen tundra only to find herself stuck in a corporate cubicle in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Fearing that her brain may rot from pretending to be a generic corporate person with no opinions or personality, Elaine decided to step onto the comedy stage. Elaine quickly moved up the comedy ranks. She won the title of “The Funniest Person in the Twin Cities” in a comedy contest and has since performed comedy in Boston, Houston, L.A. and all across the upper Midwest. Her experiences as a wife and DINK (dual income, no kids), along with her experiences in rural North Dakota and in corporate America provide plenty of fodder for her comedy.
