Douglas Saulnier is a popular comic in NYC, appearing frequently in the city's top comedy clubs. Doug has a talent for bringing a unique perspective on the absurdities in everyday life situations that are outrageous but most of us don't take notice.
While growing up in Boston, Doug realized he had the ability to make others laugh. He spent his days telling elaborate stories and jokes. A lot of his humor is not only in what he says but also the energy and animation he uses in his delivery.
Starting out as an emcee, Doug was able to interact with audiences and develop and hone his skills for improv. Today, his show is a combination of improv and his take on real life situations. Audiences relate to his hilarious tales of family situations. Doug puts into words the insanity and frustration we all experience in dealing with everyday life.
In addition to working the competitive NYC club scene, Doug has also worked at comedy clubs through out the country. Doug is also a popular comedian on the east coast college scene. He has performed in the Toyota/Boston Comedy Festival, hosted many events such as The Guinness Oyster Festival in Brooklyn, NY and The Children's Aid Benefit in New York City. Doug has also done guest appearances on HOT 98.7 radio in NYC. Recently, Doug has opened for Dave Chappelle and is currently on tour with Robert Schimmel.
You can't help but laugh at this skinny Irish kid with the Boston accent. When classifying Doug's comedy, one thought comes to mind; high energy!
