DARRELL DAWSON is a comedian, actor and writer based in Columbus, Ohio. He has performed in cities throughout the country, including Las Vegas, Louisville, Phoenix, Cincinnati, Cleveland and Columbus.

He was runner-up in the 2010 Cleveland Comedy Festival (advancing to the top 12) and performed in the 2011 Laughing Skull Comedy Festival in Atlanta.

Darrell was a runner-up in the 2010 Funniest Person in Columbus competition and performed at the 2009 and 2010 “Comedy at ComFest” shows during Columbus’ largest annual entertainment festival.

Darrell has appeared in numerous television commercials and is perhaps best known* for his February 2001 appearance on the original Regis Philbin version of “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” that twice found him mere hundredths of a second short of the “Hot Seat.” (*He's not really best known for anything.)
