As one of America’s rising comedians, it is only fitting that Danny Leary has a New York story ripped straight out of the pages of a musical.
Singing “three grand, two bags, one me,” Danny hit the road and headed to the Big Apple from New Mexico. Since making the big move, Danny can now be seen weekdays on national television as a regular commentator on MTV’s FNMTV. This fall, Danny Leary’s stand-up will be featured in performance on Here! TV’s Hot Gay Comics. He has appeared on the CW-11 Morning News, The Joey Reynolds Radio Show and Here! TV's Busted. His comedy has delighted audiences across the country with the national 5 Funny Fags Tour and in New York at major comedy venues including Comix, Gotham, Caroline’s, and Broadway Comedy Club.
Danny Leary is also the host of his own hit variety show, On the Rocks with Danny Leary, which plays every Thursday at 9:30 PM at the Duplex. With 2 parts stand-up, a twist of musical comedy and a splash of cabaret, this musical variety show was dubbed a “best bet for comedy” by Time Out NY, and a “marvelous, rambunctious evening” by Cabaret Exchange.
