Originally from Buffalo, where a sense of humor is a survival tactic, Dan sees the world from a different angle. After being asked to move on from several private schools he attended in his youth, Dan is convinced that Catholics cannot take a joke. On his many visits to the principal's office, Dan was asked, "Mr. Mahoney! What do you think you're some kind of comedian?" Dan lives each day to answer that question with a resounding, "Yes"!
In 2007, Comedy Central tagged him as a Regional Finalist in the Open Mic Fight. Dan hit the road and played his way to NYC where he has been since 2008.
This year Dan was selected for the 2010 New York Underground Comedy Festival New Talent showcase. He also will appear in the presigious 2010 Boston Comedy Festival in November.
Living in NYC now, Dan produces a weekly stand-up showcase in the East Village called Haiku. He performs all over the city and Tri-State area or really anywhere if it makes sense...it rarely makes sense.
