With a twinkle in her eye and a mischievous grin on her face, Alissa Bissonnette takes the stage with flair unlike any female comic. Born 3rd of 11 children, it was always her dream to stand out as an individual. Called by the wrong name on a daily basis and fighting over a spot at the dinner table nightly only fueled that desire. At home she was the “quiet” child, but on the playground at school she found her calling entertaining classmates with her quirky antics. Even teachers began taking notice of her quick wit and charismatic personality. Imagine her parents’ surprise when they began receiving phone calls regarding her disruptive behavior. Her classroom antics paid off when Alissa was voted “Most Witty” by her 7th grade class. It’s true! You can look it up in the yearbook!

Empowered by her newfound love of entertaining others, Alissa graduated high school and left the crowded nest determined to take the comedy world by storm. Chancing upon a comedy workshop in Gainesville, FL, she decided to give stand-up a try. Her second performance won her first place in an open mic comedy contest and, within 2 years, she was performing in clubs across Florida.

Drawing from personal experiences and day-to-day observations, Alissa will tickle and tease your funny bone with a tongue-in-cheek style and timing that of a modern day Rita Rudner. Her facial and physical expressions create a high-energy show that’s sure to captivate any crowd. Her naughty but nice manner and cleverly suggestive humor playfully dance along the line without resorting to any off-color comedy.
