What does a Campus Promoter do?

As a Campus Promoter, you're expected to be out and about on your campus, spreading the word about our Funny Film competition as well as some other hilarious stuff on RooftopComedy.com. You'll plan events like a Funny Film screening, distribute marketing materials and promo goodies, sign students up for our comedy news and let them know about current contests for students.

Benefits for Campus Promoters include direct exposure to the comedy, entertainment, and interactive media industries plus a sweet resume-booster of hands-on experience in event planning and marketing. We also hope, like all of our staff, you love comedy and will have a ton of fun being involved. There are even prizes for the best promoters out there on college campuses. And, one lucky promoter has a shot at winning a VIP trip for 2 to the 2010 Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival to bump uglies with the pros.

What are the requirements?

• Must love comedy
• Must have a basic understanding of interactive media
• Currently attends a US college or university full or part-time
• Strong communication skills and an outgoing personality
• Proactive self-starters who have a positive attitude
• Reliable, resourceful and organized
• Savvy with all social marketing tools (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
• Time expectation is anywhere from 2-10 hours per week depending on schedule
