NCCC stands for National College Comedy Competition. Trust us, after saying it a gazillion times a day, it needed an acronym. The NCCC is like the NCAA or March Madness of college comedy. We even have a bracket. Rooftop Comedy searches colleges and universities around the country each year looking for the funniest students in short filmmaking and stand-up comedy.

Funny Film:

The Funny Film Competition kicks off in the Fall Semester and is open to any college student in the U.S. Students can submit as many short films as they like and it's FREE! The films go through several layers of reviews where we invite some of the industry's most esteemed representatives to view and rate the films to ensure the funniest ones are moving on. Then we turn to the public for a couple of online voting rounds to tell us which films should advance and head to the Funniest 4 Final Screening at the Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival. The Funniest 4 filmmakers head to Aspen for a shot at being crowned Funniest Filmmaker.

Stand-up:

The Stand-up Competition takes over the Spring Semester as 32 colleges battle it out in the ultimate bracket competition for a shot at getting their Comedy Team to the Finals in Aspen. The Stand-up Competition begins with a campus wide talent search where the audience chooses which eight students are the funniest to move on as the official Comedy Team. Comedy Teams then compete through a series of fierce and funny head-to-head comedy competitions with their rival schools, and through multiple rounds of online voting, when online comedy fans choose their favorites. In the end, the Funniest 4 College Teams travel to the National Finals, held at the Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival.

Talent Institute:

The most talented of college performers are eligible to attend the Rooftop Comedy Talent Institute -- an all-expenses paid month-long comedy career workshop.
