The RooftopComedy Academy selects the funniest 64 films from the RooftopComedy Funny Film Showcase. Yes, that's right. RooftopComedy has an Academy. It's not just made up of our friends, — it's legit. The RooftopComedy Academy selects films based on the following criteria: Quality of Production, Originality of Content, Comedic Wit.
The RooftopComedy Director's Cut is another voting round in the Funny Film contest. This one is not open to the public but to an esteemed panel of industry colleagues. Most of them graduated high school and have a film background, we swear. The RooftopComedy Director's Cut will be an internal elimination process. Only 16 films that get the panel laughing out loud will prevail and advance to the Viewer's Choice Voting Round II.
