Rooftop Comedy Productions To Release Debut Title From Comedian Mike Brody on April 24

April 10, 2012

San Francisco – April 2012 – Rooftop Comedy, the leading interactive media producer of original comedy content, announces the release of Mike Brody’s debut comedy album: That’s Not What I Meant. The album will be available through retailers including iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and RooftopComedy.com and will also be available to stream on Pandora, Spotify, and Last.fm. Brody will be performing a week’s worth of shows the week of his album’s release at Rick Bronson’s House of Comedy in Bloomington, MN. For more information and other dates, visit www.mikebrody.com.

Mike Brody brings high-energy delivery to a sharply observed act that traces his odyssey from small-town Iowa through college life, sobriety, paranormal adventures, and a comedy career that began on a whim at an open mic eleven years ago. Brody’s ability to make the weird relatable has carried him across the country, headlining clubs, colleges, and bars. As the official event comedian for the SyFy Channel’s Ghost Hunters, Brody has performed in such unconventional venues as the Stanley Hotel (basis for Stephen King’s The Shining), Mt. Washington Resort, and Alcatraz.

On That’s Not What I Meant, Brody spills his guts, often at his own expense. He winds the crowd through his insecurities – his receding hairline, humble Iowa roots, and public restroom anxiety – and he has a blast while doing it. Part of what makes Mike Brody so refreshing is the fact that he’s genuinely enjoying himself on stage. While easily distracted by AC/DC cover bands and Iowa stereotypes, Mike is intent on making his points and enjoys showing off the scenery while getting there.
