The Search for the Country's Funniest College Students Visits 32 Campuses Hosting Stand-Up & Short Film Competitions
San Francisco, CA — RooftopComedy (www.RooftopComedy.com), the Internet Comedy Channel and foremost provider of stand-up and sketch comedy, announces the launch of the 1st Annual National College Comedy Competition, searching for the Country's Funniest College Students with contests on 32 campuses across the county, regional semi-finals and a final competition in Aspen, CO May 30-31.
The National College Comedy Competition features 2 categories, Stand-Up and Short Film. During the first, on-campus phase of the Stand-Up competition, students go head-to-head for one of 8 slots on their school's 'comedy team,' which then goes on to compete in the semi-finals at one of 16 prestigious comedy clubs. Audience members and judges will determine the 16 funniest comics, who will be narrowed to 4 finalists through online voting. Both online voters and a panel of celebrity judges will pick the top 4 funniest films and stand-up performances. Winners proceed to the Finals in Aspen where they will compete in a live broadcast on RooftopComedy.com and viewers from all around the world vote online to determine the Country's Funniest College Students.

Rooftop Comedy's National College Comedy Competition kicks off on Friday, February 15th at Harvard University and travels across the country hosting on-campus events throughout February and March.
