RooftopComedy Takes Top Honors at InvestorFest with "Best Investment Idea"

SACRAMENTO, CA — TechCoire's inaugural Investorfest program brought together over 80 leading venture capitalists and entrepreneurs on August 25, 2006. The event was open only to entrepreneurs and qualified investors and brought together the best of the West at its annual gathering.

Over 40 business ideas were submitted and ranked on a variety of metrics, narrowing the field to the top 10 presenting companies. RooftopComedy of San Francisco took top honors by ranking highest in the overall category of Best Investment Idea. Other companies that scored high include Revionics of Sacramento, Morone Organic Innovations of Davis and Mobile CandyDish of Berkeley.

"TechCoire did an exceptional job finding and nurturing high-quality startup companies, and the Investorfest program connected entrepreneurs and investors like never before," said William Reichert, Managing Director of Garage Technology Ventures. "I was impressed with the quality of the presentations and was honored to be a part of Investorfest."

Investorfest was produced with the generosity and support of the City of Folsom, Agreeya Solutions of Folsom, Morrison and Foerster's Sacramento office and American River Ventures.
