Questions and answers for comics performing at a Rooftop Comedy venue.
Rooftop Comedy records select performances from comedy clubs around the world and publishes the best of the best online via the Rooftop Comedy network. We made Rooftop Comedy to serve as a new avenue for comedians. Comics get more exposure, the ability to sell their own stuff on our site, access to professionally shot video of their sets, and a customized online profile.
We've got some very cool features, shows, prizes and other ways for you to make more money all in the works. Make sure you sign up as a comic member (it's free) in order to get the word when new programs get introduced.
Here are some answers to the questions we're asked most often. But if we've missed something there's contact info at the bottom.
What sorts of features are there for comics on Rooftop Comedy? [–]
How do people find me on RooftopComedy.com? [–]
You recorded me. May I get a copy of my entire set on a CD or DVD? [–]
Why yes you can! We're very happy to announce that we can now offer additional recording service to comics. If you've performed at one of our 20+ partner comedy clubs and you asked us to record your set, we can provide you with a CD audio recording or a demo-quality DVD recording of your performance. Use them for booking, festival submissions, include it in an EPK or hand 'em out to friends and family.
Prices for either CD audio or demo-quality DVD:
Sets up to 20 minutes: $20 + shipping
Sets up to 60 minutes: $50 + shipping
And what do we mean by "demo-quality"? It'll be quality enough for demos, but not for your big screen debut.
Here's how it works: if you'd like a physical copy of your entire set, simply go to our store and follow the instructions on how to place your order. In the notes section of your order, let us know your name, the club in which you performed, the date, and whether you want a CD or DVD. And while you will have to actually enter credit card information and receive an automated receipt, you will NOT be charged unless we can confirm that we do have your set and it is reproducible. We'll send you an email confirming this within 5 business days of your order.
Go to the store now to place your order. More questions? Shoot us an email at comics@rooftopcomedy.com.
