The Force is strong with Mike Bobbitt! With the charm and candor of a punk kid who’s ‘just too smart for his own good’, Mike’s been making audiences laugh for years! He draws from his experiences as a self-professed tattooed Star Wars geek who won the “nerd lottery” and actually found a wife! Mike brings the audience on a humorous journey through the fumbles and foibles of his everyday life.
Mike Bobbitt got his start in entertainment in the early 90’s working in both radio and television. He was a hit at the former 106.1 the Zephyr in New Orleans, Louisiana and produced Cable Ace nominated documentaries.
Currently, he is the founding member of the Desperate Houseguys comedy show, a contributing writer to the “Complete Idiot’s Guide to Jokes”, was voted Best of the Fest in the Detroit International Comedy Festival, can be heard on XM/Sirius satellite radio and has roles in the upcoming Kim Cattrall movie “Miss January” and Hillary Swank movie “Bettie Anne Waters”. He’s won a lot of comedy competitions and even has a trophy on his mantel saying he’s funny! Mike has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with many of the nation’s best comedians and feels lucky that he can count the times he’s had to work with the nation’s worst comedians on one hand!
Mike Bobbitt lives outside of Detroit with his one wife, four cats and thousands of action figures. He is an international man of comedy and performs at many of the premiere comedy clubs and theatres in the United States and Canada!
